Welcome to my JDRF fundraising page!
2014 marks my 11th year of living with Type 1 Diabetes. It is also the 11th time we've participated in this special event to raise money for a cure.
Type 1 diabetes (T1D) is an autoimmune disease in which the body's immune system attacks and destroys the insulin-producing cells of the pancreas. While its causes are not yet entirely understood, scientists believe that both genetic factors and environmental triggers are involved.
JDRF is the leading global organization focused on T1D research. The goal of JDRF is to improve the lives of every person affected by T1D by accelerating progress on the most promising opportunities for curing, better treating, and preventing T1D. More than 80 percent of JDRF's expenditures go directly to T1D research.
I am asking for your support. Please donate to my personal fundraising efforts. By doing so, you can help me make a difference for millions of people like myself living with T1D.
Won't you please give to JDRF as generously as possible?
Thank you for your support!
