It's time to Beat the Bridge!!!

Nate at a Sounders game

    Hi Friends and Family,

As you probably know, I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in 2009 at the age of 9. Living with diabetes has its ups and downs. It has perks, like candy when I am low, but even that comes at a price. As my mom tells my brother “to have a piece of candy, you have to prick your finger first.” In addition to pricking my finger, which sometimes hurts, I have to count the amount of carbohydrates I eat at each meal, which can be tricky and frustrating. I also have to inject sites into my side every two days, which stinks. Even with all of these bad things I have to encounter on a daily basis, my family helps me keep a positive attitude day in and day out. By donating to this very worthy cause, we will be one step closer to a cure and a giant leap to making life easier for all the diabetics, like myself, who have to go through this, so far, incurable disease.

Thank you for your time. I hope to see everyone out there on race day!
