In my family and circle of friends we love this race! Welcome to my personal fundraising page for the 31st Annual Nordstrom Beat the Bridge to Beat Diabetes! Our team, Team Natalie, runs and walks in memory of our daughter, Natalie Kaq Lang, to honor her and to help memorialize her loving, courageous life with us! There are no words great enough to describe Natlie and all she did for us and for International students and immigrants in her short 38 years. The University of Washington Bothell honors her with an endowed scholarship in her name for international students and immigrants. This year, I'll be participating in this incredible event in my community, along with thousands of others, to raise $1.5 million in support of JDRF and to improve the lives of all people affected by type 1 diabetes (T1D). If you ask people with T1D, they will tell you it is difficult and life threatening. And they know it never goes away.
Type 1 diabetes (T1D) is an autoimmune disease in which the body's immune system attacks and destroys the insulin-producing cells of the pancreas. While its causes are not yet entirely understood, scientists believe that both genetic factors and environmental triggers are involved.
I am asking for your support. Please donate to my personal fundraising efforts. By doing so, you can help me make a difference for millions of people living with type 1 diabetes.
Did you know that:
As the leader of the type 1 diabetes community, JDRF unifies global efforts to cure, treat, and prevent T1D. JDRF will not rest until T1D is fully conquered. Won't you please give to JDRF as generously as possible?
Thank you for your support! Our particpants and generous donors are truly amazing!
