Welcome to my personal fundraising page for the annual Beat the Bridge to Beat Diabetes! This year, I'll be participating in this incredible event to raise money in support of JDRF and to improve the lives of all people affected by type 1 diabetes (T1D). I joined this team in memory of my sister Natalie, who bravely faced T1D and the toll it took on her life. Advances in medicine gave us more time with our amazing sister, and we hope that raising funds will help others who face this disease today, live longer and healthier lives.
Type 1 diabetes (T1D) is an autoimmune disease in which the body's immune system attacks and destroys the insulin-producing cells. While its causes are not yet entirely understood, scientists believe that both genetic factors and environmental triggers are involved. T1D is often referred to as childhood diabetes.
I am asking for your support. Please donate to my personal fundraising efforts. By doing so, you can help me make a difference for millions of people living with type 1 diabetes.
As the leader of the type 1 diabetes community, JDRF unifies global efforts to cure, treat, and prevent T1D. JDRF will not rest until T1D is fully conquered. Won't you please give to JDRF as generously as possible?
Thank you for your support!
