I'm participating in Beat the Bridge to Beat Diabetes!

Welcome to my personal fundraising page for Beat the Bridge to Beat Diabetes! I'm participating in this event to support my little Evan - and to help raise money for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) and its work to improve the lives of people affected by type 1 diabetes (T1D).

Evan was diagnosed with diabetes just more than a year ago. What a whirlwind of learning and change it's been. We've gone from numerous finger pricks and injections each day to a continuous glucose monitor and an insulin pump. Together, they work more like a pancreas than any other technology. It's incredible.

Evan continues to grow and thrive. He is super smart about diabetes and totally in-tune with the signals his body sends. He has also embraced his role as a JDRF Ambassador and donates his time and engaging personality to work at fundraising events. He is my hero and inspiration.

Please consider donating to my fundraising efforts. By doing so, you can help me make a difference for millions of people living with type 1 diabetes.

Or, better yet ... join our team! Walk with us. Support Evan. Have fun. Be part of something bigger than yourself. We'd love to have you.

    Did you know:

    • T1D is an autoimmune disease that comes on suddenly and strikes both children and adults at any age?
    • T1D has nothing to do with diet or lifestyle?
    • Those living with T1D must carefully balance insulin doses with eating and daily activities throughout the day and night?
    • Those living with T1D must test their blood sugar by pricking their fingers with blood 6 or more times a day?

    Thank you for your support!
