As most of you know by now, I am in a new position with Nordstrom's direct division as a Product Coordinator. Being it is my first Beat the Bridge with this team, I decided to take on one of the "Team Leader" rolls to help get this rockin after coming off of over $1100 in GENEROUS donations to my Movember efforts this past year. My goal to to help raise awareness and funds to help support JDRF. As the leader of the type 1 diabetes community, JDRF unifies global efforts to cure, treat, and prevent T1D. JDRF will not rest until T1D is fully conquered.
Whether you can donate money, time, or even simply a re-post.. it is GREATLY appreciated!
Let's get it!!
JDRF & Type 1 Diabetes Facts below:
Welcome to my personal fundraising page for the 31st Annual Nordstrom Beat the Bridge to Beat Diabetes! This year, I'll be participating in this incredible event in my community, along with thousands of others, to raise $1.5 million in support of JDRF and to improve the lives of all people affected by type 1 diabetes (T1D). If you ask people with T1D, they will tell you it is difficult and life threatening. And they know it never goes away.
Type 1 diabetes (T1D) is an autoimmune disease in which the body's immune system attacks and destroys the insulin-producing cells of the pancreas. While its causes are not yet entirely understood, scientists believe that both genetic factors and environmental triggers are involved.
I am asking for your support. Please donate to my personal fundraising efforts. By doing so, you can help me make a difference for millions of people living with type 1 diabetes.
