Hello! Thank you for reading my note and coming to my personal fundraising page for the 32nd Annual Nordstrom Beat the Bridge to Beat Diabetes!
I've supported JDRF and the Beat the Bridge event in the past and this year I am honored to walk with the Island Ponies! We'll be making the 4 mile walk to raise funds in support of JDRF and also a great friend with type 1 diabetes (T1D). Ed was diagnosed with T1D as a child and has lived with the disease for most of his life. Ed is also a board member of JDRF NW. The money I raise will help JDRF advance its strategic research plan to end T1D.
What is T1D? T1D is a life-threatening autoimmune disease in which a person’s pancreas stops producing insulin, which the body needs to get energy from food. Managing the disease requires constant carbohydrate counting, blood-glucose testing, and lifelong dependence on insulin. There is no cure for T1D. JDRF works to change that. And, as the largest nongovernmental funder of T1D research, every dollar JDRF directs toward its research plan comes from donors like you.
Please support my commitment and donate to my fundraising efforts today. Your gift will go a long way!
Thank you for your support and friendship!
Jennifer and all the Island Ponies!
