Join me in the fight to create a world without type 1 diabetes!
Welcome to my and my brother's personal JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes fundraising page!
We'll be taking part in this year's Walk to raise funds for the millions of people living with and affected by type 1 diabetes (T1D).
Many of you met our Papa rather at dance recitals, sporting events or your kids have hung out at our house. Many of you know that last summer he passed away. What many people don't know is that he had diabetes. For the last several years we have walked in this walk, and last year we decided we wanted to be Team Captain in honor of our Papa. Our Papa was a minister and taught us to give back to people and this is our way of doing that.
This year has been busy for me Cloudy as I decided to also dedicate this year's dance solo to my Papa and all of my JDRF friends to raise awareness for Type 1 diabetes. My solo is performed to Nick Jonas' (who also had Type 1) song "A Little Bit Longer" and has been very successful throughout my performances and competitions. I am also proud to say that in June I brought home the National 1st place trophy for that solo. While a trophy isn't a cure it does put awareness in front of even more people. The video is posted on this page and it is my desire that it brings you the hope that I get while working with this great charity!
Insulin was not a cure for our Papa and only serves as a lifeline for all of our Type 1 friends. WE will not stop until we achieve Type None!
The money we raise will help JDRF fund critical research to progressively remove the impact of T1D from people's lives until no one has to fear developing the disease.
Please support us in honoring the memory of our PAPA and donate to our Walk fundraising campaign. Your gift will make a difference in the lives all of our Type 1 friends! Won't you please give to JDRF as generously as possible today?
Thank you for your support and hope you'll join the Minions on walk day!!! And together we will rid the world of despicable diabetes!!!
Your donation will count towards the team's fundraising total. In addition, please give credit to the person that asked for your support to recognize them for their efforts in creating a world without type 1 diabetes (T1D).
