Welcome to our JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes Team Page!
Nico typed his own lil story tonight that I would like to share with you.
hi this is Nico Karns. My life is different than the average person. If I want to eat something I have to prick my finger with a needle, and bolus with a machine that is hooked to my body by a tube with a needle in my bottom. If I want to go to a friends house I have to test, eat a snack, bolus, and take snacks with me. If I want to spend the night at a friends house I have to call my mom every 2 hrs even when I'm sleeping and test and bolus all by myself. When I am low it hurts to walk, I feel really sleepy, I want to vomit, i feel very weak. When I'm high I feel angry and my brain just like goes blank. I want to be like a regular kid that doesn't have to worry abou t pricking, bolusing, testing, and i just want to be able to go outside and do whatever. My life is a lil harder than yours so please help me fight this terrible, awful disease. Thank u so much for donating. http://www2.jdrf.org/goto/NicosSupernovas
