We are so excited to participate in the 2014 JDRF Walk for a Cure at MSU on Aug 2, 2014!
It doesn't get better then this for our family, walking to move type 1 to type none, SPARTY style!
We ask you to consider joining our walk team and make a donation to help us win this battle!!!
Here is some information for you:
T1D is an autoimmune disease in which a Alli's pancreas has stopped producing insulin – a hormone essential to turning food into energy. It strikes both children and adults and is unrelated to diet and lifestyle. With T1D there are no days off, and there is no cure – yet. We believe that a cure is possible and hopefully within her lifetime, with your help!
As you may know, Alli wears an insulin pump which keeps her alive and she also wears an CGM to reduce the amount of finger pokes to check her blood glucose. She pokes her fingers up to 10 times a day!
Your support of JDRF can help change that. JDRF is the one organization with the plan, influence, and ability to lessen the burden of this disease until it no longer exists.
By donating or joining our team today, you can help JDRF fund research that impacts the lives of the millions of children, adults, and families challenged by T1D every single day. With your support, we will turn Type One into Type None.
Please know that a majority of the money raised at this walk stays at MSU and goes directly for diabetes research- How awesome is that!
We are also super excited to tell you that Coach Dantonio is the Honorary Chair of this event. Please consider to spare your time and some money to help us fight? See you there on Aug 2! Go GREEN for a CURE!!!
