Garrett has had such an amazing and blessed year! We are truly thankful for all those who have supported us through this journey. Garrett began 1st Grade at Clarksville Academy this fall and is excited about his new teacher and class. He is looking forward to a fun year!
We spent the summer playing golf and tee ball and were even able to participate in Tee Ball All Stars. This was a fun experience for the whole family. Garrett is gearing up for Fall Ball with Little League beginning in September. His love of baseball grows daily and there isn't a day that goes by that we aren't hitting, throwing or playing catch.
Garrett has taken on a leadership role in his day to day diabetes management. Most days at school he will check is own sugar, he notifies us when he begins to feel bad (from a high or low blood sugar), and he is learning the steps to change his infusion set. We are very blessed to have such a brave and courageous boy!
Thank you for your support of JDRF and our fight to find a cure. I firmly believe that we WILL have a cure in Garrett's lifetime! We are committed to making TYPE ONE become TYPE NONE!
