Hello! Randy & I are again looking forward to our Walk at the Mall of America . Hard to believe that it has been 5 years already since our granddaughter Hannah was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. She is 12 years old and every day she has to try to manage this disease. Some days are better than others but she continues on in hopes that some day she will see a CURE for Type 1. Insulin is NOT A CURE!!! We pray that some day her life will not involve testing her blood sugars many times a day, wearing an insulin pump, dealing with the high and low bloopd sugars, the mood changes, site changes, counting carbs and the many complications that can come from this disease.
Type 1, or Juvenile Diabetes, is a devastating disease that affects millions of people, a large and growing percentage of them children. The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) is the #1 non-profit funder of diabetes research worldwide. One of JDRF's largest fundraiser events is the "Walk to Cure Diabetes."
Now, more than ever, you can make a crucial difference. Won't you please give to JDRF as generously as possible? Together, we can make the CURE a reality!
You can make a donation in any amount online by clicking on "DONATE TO THIS WALKER" and filling out the information.
