We will turn Type One into Type None

Welcome to our JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes team page!

As you many of you may already know, Harley was diagnosed with T1D in November. Every day is full of more learning experiences, lots of coping, and overcoming normal life challenges that most don't have to stop and think about.  Harley not only has T1D, but also has Seizures, ADHD, Tourettes, and Mood Disorder.  Despite all of that, Harley keeps his smile on his face and his chin up!  We really thought that when the doctor gave Harley the news that he was going to lose it, but instead he said "I'm a little upset, but I can live with it."  Living with Diabetes has not brought his spirits down one bit, but instead he has taught a lot of us how to deal with challenges without letting them get the best of you. Harley has truly been an inspiration for all of us.  We hope one day that medicine has advanced enough that Harley, and so many others living with T1D can go through there day without having to count carbs, do the math, or give injections every time they want to eat something.

Help JDRF to continue research so that so many who have been diagnosed with T1D can live a life without diabetes impacting them in so many ways.
