Thank you for visiting our web page: Emily's Best Friends and Family (BFF's). We've come a long way since our little Emily was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes 3 years ago (isn't she cute in her Girl Scout uniform when she was just 6 years old!). We continue to do this walk to help raise money for JDRF and Diabetes research and bring awareness about this disease. Hope you can join us in this JDRF walk to find the cure and raise awareness. It would be great to be together and cheer each other along the way. But even if you can't be there with us on that day, you can make a BIG difference by making a donation here. Your support throughout our highs and lows (literally!) means a lot to our family and especially to Emily. Now your financial support,-- even if a small one,-- can make the world of difference to everyone who is affected by Type 1 Diabetes (T1D). We are hopeful for a cure.... And with your help, we can make this happen.
Thank you so much for your consideration and support!
Emily and Family
Did you know that:
T1D is an autoimmune disease that comes on suddenly and strikes both children and adults at any age.
T1D has nothing to do with diet or lifestyle.
Those living with T1D must carefully balance insulin doses with eating and daily activities throughout the day and night.
Those living with T1D must test their blood sugar by pricking their fingers for blood 6 or more times a day.
As the leader of the type 1 diabetes community, JDRF unifies global efforts to cure, treat and prevent T1D. JDRF will not rest until T1D is fully conquered. Please consider donating to help in this great cause. Thank you!
Your donation will count towards the team's fundraising total. In addition, please give credit to the person that asked for your support to recognize them for their efforts in creating a world without type 1 diabetes (T1D).
