I’m asking for your support of a very special goal—to improve the lives of every person affected by type 1 diabetes (T1D). This year, on Saturday, September 13, 2014 friends, colleagues and I will be taking part in the JDRF Kohl’s Walk to Cure Diabetes, along with a half-million others nationwide.
I have been involved with JDRF for many years, especially since a family friend of ours had a daughter diagnosed with T1D at the extremely early age of 7 months. And, as most of you know, I am also a full-time employee for JDRF as the Southeastern Wisconsin Chapter’s Development Coordinator.
JDRF is the leading global organization funding type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. JDRF’s goal is to progressively remove the impact of T1D from people’s lives until we achieve a world without T1D.
Over the past 6 years of my involvement with JDRF, I have had the opportunity to meet some amazing people that live with T1D every day. Whether they are children, adolescents or adults with this disease, living with T1D is a constant challenge.
Any amount, great or small, helps JDRF get closer to our mission to turn type one into type none!
I greatly appreciate your consideration and support of this most worthy cause. Please know that more than 80 percent of JDRF's expenditures directly support research and research-related education.I also encourage you to join our team and Walk with us on September 13th!
If you have any questions or need any additional information, please don’t hesitate to contact me. Again, thank you for your generous continued support.
