Good morning! We are reaching out to anyone who would like to join us and our team in raising money in support of Ashton and the JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes.
On February 10th 2012 our now 4 year old son Ashton was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. This day changed our family’s life forever. Type 1 diabetes has no cure and it is a disease that needs constant attention. To stay alive, Ashton has a minimum of four finger pokes followed by four insulin injections every day. Each day, every day, we have to carefully monitor Ashton's food intake, check his blood sugar levels and try to maintain a careful balance to avoid high or low blood sugar reactions that can be life-limiting or life threatening.
We have formed our walk team through JDRF to raise money to support the research needed to cure, better treat, and prevent Type 1 Diabetes. We greatly appreciate your consideration and support of this worthy cause. We look forward to having as many people as possible join us. Even if you can’t join us at the Walk, we appreciate any and all donations made as part of our fund-raising efforts for JDRF. Contributions in any amount are welcome, walk.jdrf.org, search under ‘Donate to a Walker’ (Ashton Hall).
If you have any questions or want any additional information, please don’t hesitate to contact us. Again, thank you from all of us for your generous support of our little trooper, Ashton.
