Another Fight for a Better World

Hello everyone! Welcome to my fundraising page. Pull up a chair, get some munchies, and get comfy because I'm going to tell you why I'm walking for JDRF!

I  have several family members and close friends that have type 1 Diabetes. They have coped with this in their life and have either had to have shots taken or even have an insulin pump. So, I want to help my loved one's lives better and create a brighter future for children and adults! If we work together and raise what we can for this cause we are one step closer to making the world a better place and creating another reason for them to smile. So, let's do what we can and beat this thing!

I'm doing this for you Aunt Nina, Grandma Alice, Andy, and so many others. Love you guys!

I'm joining this year's Walk to raise funds to improve the lives of millions of people with type 1 diabetes (T1D). The money I raise will help JDRF advance its strategic research plan to end T1D.

T1D is a life-threatening autoimmune disease in which a person’s pancreas stops producing insulin, which the body needs to get energy from food. Managing the disease requires constant carbohydrate counting, blood-glucose testing, and lifelong dependence on insulin. With T1D there are no days off, and there is no cure.
