Team Logan is walking in support of an amazing little boy. At the tender age of 4 years, Logan was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. In December 2013 Logan's parents noticed some signs that caused red flags to go up. Thank the Lord that Hannah and Aaron had the knowledge to seek medical help asap. Logan was hospitalized and began his life transformation to living with this disease. As many of you know there is a ton of testing, pokes and shots involved with this disease, but Logan has been a super hero enduring a very scary time in his and his families lives. When time came for Logan to return to preschool/daycare, his parents were very nervous about how Logan's needs would be met. The director and several teaching staff rallied to learn all that they could to help keep our little Logan safe and healthy while his parents worked. I have been honored to care for Logan before his diagnosis and after. Logan has taught me many things about love and life. I look forward to every day that he is at school with us, knowing that he will always have some witty comment or silly gesture to make. Logan brightens my days with his sweet smile and ornery side. Logan is not only a sweet little boy, but an amazingly strong soul. I have created this team in hopes that one day there will never be another little Logan that has to go through everything that this disease does and causes. No child should ever have to try and make sense of what their body is doing or not doing and why they have to be poked and tested day after day for the remainder of their lives. It is my dream to make our team goal in honor of our Logan boy!
