• Please look over the schedule of events, parking map, and site map so that you know what to expect when you show up on Saturday.  Please note that I-24 will be closed from I-24/I-65 split north of downtown to the I-24/I-40 split south of downtown.  From the east, please access via Main Street to James Robertson to Rosa Parks. From the north, west, and south, please access via I-40 to Rosa Parks.
  • The walk will take place rain or shine!
  • All walkers who raise $100 or more will receive a free JDRF Walk t-shirt on walk day, and all walkers who raise $1,000 or more will become a V1P and enjoy V1P Tent access on Saturday.  So keep working towards your fundraising goals!
  • Walk teams with the most pre-registered walkers (50+) have been assigned a team photo time and will be emailed directly. Everyone else can head over to the photo station with their teams from 8:00 to 9:30.
  • The walk route is about 1 mile long.  The route is stroller and wheelchair friendly. Dogs on leashes are welcome.
  • Here’s what to expect with food:
    • Complimentary breakfast bars, bagels, English muffins, fruit, and beverages (coffee, water, sodas) will be available to all walkers starting at 8:00
    • After the walk, we will have complimentary chips and beverages.
    • Our V1Ps (walkers who have raised $1,000+) will have access to the V1P tent where they can enjoy custom espresso drinks and Chick-fil-A chicken biscuits
    • Gluten-free foods will be available at a designated table in the food tent.
  • If you are a blood relative of someone with type 1 diabetes, then you and/or your family members may be eligible to participate in Vanderbilt's Type 1 Diabetes TrialNet Study at the Walk.
