Walk Day Schedule

8:30 a.m.              Check-In Opens at Foley Square

9:40 a.m.              Opening Ceremony

10:00 a.m.            Walk Starts!

10:45 a.m.            Finish Festival Begins in Cadman Plaza

*JDRF One Walk: Manhattan is a rain or shine event.

Check-In Information:
When you arrive, head to the check-in tent to fill out and turn in your Walker Collection Envelope. Please print and complete the Walker Donation Information Form and include it in your envelope as it is essential to confirm all your offline donations (cash, checks, etc.).

The Walker Collection Envelope should also be completed with:
• Your Team Name and Team Captain's name
• Amount in envelope
• If you have not registered online, please complete your contact information. Keep in mind, home address is preferred in order to expedite the delivery of JDRF post-Walk information and prizes.

* Please remember, each walker should turn in their own envelope.
Also, don't forget:
• Checks should be made payable to JDRF
• Credit Cards will be accepted at registration
• If you have a large amount of cash or coins to turn in on Walk Day, we ask that you convert it to a personal check and make a note in the memo section that cash has been converted to check

• Fundraising doesn’t have to stop after the walk! You can continue fundraising throughout the year. 

Walk Route:
The Walk will begin at 10:00 AM following the opening ceremony and ribbon cutting. The route begins at Foley Square, travels through lower Manhattan, over the Brooklyn Bridge and will end at Cadman Plaza in Brooklyn. (see included walk map for more details)

Did you individually raise $1,000 or more! If so you are a V1P and have gained access to our V1P Tent. We look forward to celebrating with the JDRF One Walk top fundraisers with special photo ops and goodies.  Also there will be an express check in area for you at the Check-in Tent. 


New Families 
With all the excitement and fun that is going on we know that walk day can get overwhelming as a new family. It is important to us that you enjoy the day and have the best experience possible. So, weather you have questions about location of the food and beverage tent, want to learn more about research, or want to connect with other families, please make sure to stop by the New Family Tent. We will have JDRF Staff and volunteers available to assist you.


For those living with T1D, this is your day! We want to make sure that you are recognized. Stop by the “Check In” tent to pick up your T1D BUFF® headware! Wear it with pride so others can celebrate walking for YOU at our event.


T-Shirt Contest- (please note the change)

Team T-shirts entered in the contest will be displayed on walk day in the Welcome New Family Tent in Foley Square and will be voted on by your fellow walkers. Winners will be announced in Cadman Plaza. Your team t-shirt design must be submitted before Walk Day.

Official JDRF One Walk T-shirt

Any individual that raises $100 or more qualifies for ONE JDRF One Walk T-shirt. If you qualify, you will receive an ORANGE T-shirt Ticket from your Team captain or at the Check-in tent at the time of registration. Please bring this ticket to the t-shirt tent to redeem your T-shirt.

Team Table Reminder:
All Teams that  have raised over $10,000 by Monday, September 18th are eligible for a Team Table. All teams who are eligible will be notified by email on Tuesday, September 19th  

Food & Beverage:  Breakfast and  beverages will be served in Foley Square from 8:30 AM-10:00 AM. At Cadman Plaza snacks and beverages will be available (lunch will not be served).

 Fun and Entertainment:
You will greeted in Foley Square by our DJ playing music, Our JDRF Chapter Staff and kicking off the Walk an exciting program hosted by WCBS-TV New York.  As you cross the Brooklyn Bridge into Cadman Plaza you will find family friendly fun for all ages including, music, dancing, crafts, activities, and T1D vendors.

Walk Prizes

Anyone that raises $250 or more is eligible to receive a Walk Prize. You will receive an e-mail the first week of January 2018 with further details on how with redeem your prize if you qualify.
