Welcome to our JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes Team Page!
On November 19, 2012 Hunter was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at the age of 4, to say that this has changed the lifestyle of our family would be an understatement. We are still trying to make a new "normal" for our family and everyday it gets better. . . but it will never again be easy. Hunter has been amazing and by the second day of his diagnosis was giving his own insulin and checking his own blood sugars (thanks in part to an amazing friend that had gone through this years ago and wanted to help). We have made many more friends that are teaching us amazing things and helping us to adjust to this new way of living.
Please join our team and help us to raise money for JDRF so that hopefully someday there will be a cure, not only for Hunter but for all the others that are affected by this diagnosis. We will have t-shirts that you can purchase with all proceeds going to JDRF so please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like more information about one of them.
Thank you so much for supporting our family!
We are taking steps to help JDRF achieve its goal of improving the lives of all people affected by type 1 diabetes (T1D) by accelerating progress on the most promising opportunities for curing, better treating, and preventing T1D. By joining our Walk Team and making a donation, you will be helping us to raise funds to directly support research with the greatest potential to conquer this disease.
We are motivated by the courage and perseverance of those facing the everyday challenges of type 1 diabetes - they are the reason we challenge ourselves to give more, to do more, to achieve more. We challenge ourselves to make a real difference in the lives of those with T1D.
Will you accept the challenge to make a difference by walking with us? All we need you to do is click on the "Join this Team" button, make a donation, and begin fundraising. It?s simple, fast, and fun!
Thank you for your support, and we?ll see you on Walk day!
Your donation will count towards the team's fundraising total. In addition, please give credit to the person that asked for your support to recognize them for their efforts in creating a world without type 1 diabetes (T1D).
