Welcome to our JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes Team Page! We are taking steps to help achieve JDRF's mission: to find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research. The money Carter's Crew for the Cure raises will go directly to JDRF to support this life-changing research.
Carter was diagnosed with T1D just before his 2nd birthday - he turned 5 this year! Time sure flies! His newest saying over the past year has been - "That's OK...I'll just deal with it." When we tell him he can’t have the snack he wants because his blood sugar is too high, he tells us he’ll just deal with it. When we tell him he has to stop swimming because it’s time to put his pump back on for a while, he tells us he’ll just deal with it. When we change his insulin delivery site and it hurts when the needle goes into his back, he tells us he’ll just deal with it. When he needs a shot of insulin because he has ketones, he tells us he'll just deal with it.

We had the privilege of meeting another little Carter this year, whose story is so much like our Carter's. He is a remarkable little boy and we have teamed up with his family and friends this year for the Walk...so, this year we will be "CARTERS' Crew for the Cure"! We are excited to expand our team and welcome Carter's family and friends to the Walk this year!
We look forward to the day when our Carters and all those with T1D don't have to "just deal with it" anymore! Thank you and God's blessings! Together, let's make Type One...Type NONE!
Your donation will count towards the team's fundraising total. In addition, please give credit to the person that asked for your support to recognize them for their efforts in creating a world without type 1 diabetes (T1D).
