About JDRF One Walk™

The JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes has become JDRF One Walk.*

We've changed the name of our flagship fundraising event to communicate our focus on a single goal: creating a world without type 1 diabetes (T1D). The new name, bold look, and enhanced fundraising support at this year's JDRF One Walk reflect the powerful impact you can make by joining the global leader in T1D research.

Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disease in which a person's pancreas loses the ability to produce insulin — a hormone essential to turning food into energy. It strikes both children and adults suddenly and is unrelated to diet and lifestyle. It requires constant carbohydrate counting, blood-glucose testing, and lifelong dependence on injected insulin.

With T1D there are no days off, and there is no cure. That's why JDRF holds more than 200 Walks across the country every year to raise money for JDRF — the only global organization with a strategic research plan to end T1D.

Each year, JDRF Walks bring together more than 900,000 people who raise over $75 million for life-changing T1D research. This success is only possible because of the support, commitment, and strength of our community. Please register today.
