Each year my family and I take great pride in supporting this wonderful cause. I, as you may know, am Type 1 diabetic (T1D.) I have been living with an insulin pump and a constant glucose monitor for nearly a year after 16 years of manual injections of insulin. The pump and monitor are both connected to my abdomen 24/7/365. It means a tube attached to me at all times, along with and a medical device, and separately a computer chip connected to me beaming an RFID signal to another device. T1D is a chronic disease. It is manageable with a lot of work, attention and monitoring. I get my motivation to keep supporting JDRF every time I look at my beautiful daughters Sydney and Brynley and pray they do not suffer the same fate as me.
I support JDRF because they are the #1 funder of research to treat, manage and find a cure to T1D. $0.85 of every dollar donated goes to funding research. JDRF is one of the most effective 501(c)3 charities in the nation. JDRF is helping to improve the quality of life for everyone from children to adults, and may soon have a breakthrough in finding a cure. In order to do that we Need You to Help Fund a Cure.
Now, more than ever, you can make a crucial difference. Won't you please give to JDRF as generously as possible? Together, we can make the cure a reality!
