We are taking the steps to help achieve JDRF's mission: to find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research. The money our JDRF Walk Team raises will go directly to support this life-changing research.
We have a personal connection to type 1 diabetes (T1D) as Terry is not only my husband but, he is also the father of Saige. At age 13, Terry was diagnosed with this life changing disease. While research and treatment have come a very long way in the past 25 years, JDRF is still searching for a CURE.
On September 27, 2012 our 7 year old daughter Saige was also diagnosed with T1D. If you know Saige, then you know that she is a very strong and determined little girl. As soon as she knew about the WALK she was ready to get her team lined up and wanted to make sure her daddy was included in her team name.
We would love for you to help us take the steps to stomp out T1D for Saige, Terry and Everyone living with T1D.
