Tristin's Tiara Trifecta

Hello friends!

This year, we have formed a team for the wonderful woman in our lives, Tristin, who was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in 1994.  We three sisters are teaming up with other friends to do our part to help find a cure!

The money our JDRF Walk Team raises will go directly to support this life-changing research.

Type 1 diabetes is a devastating disease for which there is no known cause and worse, no cure. People with type 1 diabetes must take insulin in order to stay alive. This means undergoing multiple injections daily, or having insulin delivered through an insulin pump, and testing their blood sugar by pricking their fingers for blood six or more times a day. People with diabetes must also carefully balance their food intake and their exercise to regulate their blood sugar levels, in an attempt to avoid hypoglycemic (low blood sugar) and hyperglycemic (high blood sugar) reactions, which can be life threatening.

We have joined the fight against T1D! For the fourth year, we will be joining 20,000 of our closest friends at MOA for this great cause. We invite you to join us on February 23, or consider supporting our team through a donation. We sincerely appreciate all your support!
