We are taking the steps to help achieve JDRF's mission: to find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research. The money our JDRF Walk Team raises will go directly to support this life-changing research.
On March 13, 2011 our whole world changed in a day. Our daughter Julia was sick and just not getting better. After a weekend in the hospital we learned a new "normal" life as a family with Type 1 Diabetes. Before diagnosis, I remember hearing stories of children with this disease and feeling so grateful that my were children healthy. As a parent you just want every happiness and opportunity for your kids, and I thought T1D would get in the way of that. While it certainly does change the path to get there, that is still all we want for our T1D kids. Contributing to this cause can help us find a cure, and make the goal of a healthy happy life for all people with this disease attainable. Please do what you can to make this a happen!
