Hello!† Our family will be walking in the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) Walk to Cure Diabetes on Saturday, February 23rd, 2013 at the Mall of America (MOA). This is our 4th year walking for a cure. JDRF is the #1 non-profit funder of Diabetes research world-wide. JDRF's mission is to find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research. The money our JDRF Walk Team raises will go directly to support this life-changing research.
There are three main purposes for Travis' Steppin Schuhs Team when it comes to the JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes:
Provide support for Travis and others with Diabetes
Raise awareness about Type 1 Diabetes
Raise money to find new ways to treat and manage Type 1 Diabetes and to find a cure.
Type 1, or Juvenile Diabetes, is a devastating disease that affects millions of people at large with a growing percentage of them children. The JDRF Walk is a fantastic way to make a difference in the millions of lives of people affected by Type 1 Diabetes. We are asking for your support. Please help Travis and everyone with Diabetes, along with their families, look for solutions and cures.

We continue to be overwhelmed by the love and support Travis and our family receive in our efforts to find a cure for diabetes, and are inspired to continue in our efforts. It is simply amazing to have our family, friends, and neighbors all working together to find a cure for Type 1 Diabetes that affects so many families like ours.
