Welcome to our JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes Team Page!  

Have you heard how excited we are?!

We are taking the steps to help achieve JDRF's mission: to find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research.  The money our JDRF Walk Team raises will go directly to support this life-changing research.

One year ago, Emily qualified to participate in a research study group for curing Type 1 Diabetes.  Her research is being done in an effort to preserve critical beta cells in Type 1 patients.  She takes two pills daily and undergoes blood work every 3 months.  If this important research is successful, these insulin producing beta cells can be rejuvenated and continue to thrive in the pancreas.  This would end, or greatly reduce, the need for insulin in Type 1 diabetics.

The JDRF Walk is a fantastic way for you to make a difference in the millions of lives of people affected by Type 1 diabetes.  We are asking for your support.
