Welcome to the Jacobs Family's JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes page!
We are excited to participate again this year in the annual walk to cure diabetes that will take place in Forest Park on October 6, 2013. JDRF is an amazing organization that is making great strides in research towards finding a cure for type 1 diabetes (T1D). Each year more than 15,000 children and 15,000 adults are diagnosed with T1D. JDRF is the only global organization with a strategic plan to bring those living with T1D a continuous flow of life-changing therapies and, ultimately, a cure for the disease.
Some of you may know that this particular organization is very near and dear to our family. Nicki Jacobs was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes (T1D) when she was 8 years old. She has lived with this disease and dealt with the constant finger sticks, multiple insulin injections per day, and the high and low blood sugars. In addition to managing her diabetes, she has been an AMAZING WIFE and a WONDERFUL MOTHER to two beautiful little girls! The challenges that she has overcome should motivate all of us to step up and be active participants to work towards a cure.
That is why we are asking you to join us this year as we Walk to Cure Diabetes! We hope that you can join our team and participate in this great event for such a wonderful organization. If you are unable to make it to the walk, you can still contribute by supporting our team's fundraising efforts. All of the money raised goes directly to JDRF and is put towards research and research-related education.

Thank you for your support, and we hope to see you at the JDRF Walk!
