It’s that time again!!!
As I’m sure you know, I have Juvenile Diabetes. I was diagnosed on Feb 12, 2011. It’s, by far, been the biggest challenge I’ve ever faced in my life.
At present, there is also nothing you can do to get rid of it. People with T1D must manage the disease by injecting or pumping insulin several times a day, every day. INSULIN IS NOT A CURE, and it does not prevent the possibility of serious complications like kidney failure, blindness, stroke, and sometimes even death.
We are taking steps to help JDRF achieve its goal of improving the lives of all people affected by type 1 diabetes (T1D) by accelerating progress on the most promising opportunities for curing, better treating, and preventing T1D. By joining our Walk Team and making a donation, you will be helping us to raise funds to directly support research with the greatest potential to conquer this disease.
By donating or joining my team, you are helping find a cure for me and everyone else who has to deal with T1D.
Last year, Team Alex raised over $800 towards making a difference… Last year was made so special by everyone who cares… We can do it again! Everything we do will contribute towards eventually finding a cure.
All we need you to do is click ”Join this Team” button or make a donation.
It’s easy, tax-deductible, and it goes towards improving my life and everyone else who has Type 1 Diabetes.
I appreciate any and all efforts, and I can’t give thanks enough to those who show their continued support.
I look forward to seeing everyone at the walk!
