Last month, the Ron Santo Walk to Cure Diabetes united thousands of participants in support of the same goal – to create a world without type 1 diabetes (T1D). I am reaching out to ask you to join the JDRF virtual Alumni Walk Team. While Walk Day has passed, we still need additional revenue to help meet the $4.2 million goal. As a valued past supporter, you can help us get there!
Kady's Krusaders, our family walk team, was a vital and fun part of our family for 15 years. Now our Kady is 23 years old and lives in New York City. It's no fun doing the walk without her- but Kady still has diabetes 24/7. Instead of "doing the walk" in Chicago, the Helme family raises money by doing a virtual walk. It blows our mind how generous friends, family and colleagues are after all these years! We won’t stop raising money for JDRF to give to the researchers until Kady is cured! Won't you do the same for your child?
JDRF has a very aggressive research portfolio and we need your support more than ever. Register above for the Alumni Walk Team. Select the “virtual walker” option and, once registered, personalize your participant center and send an e-mail asking your friends, family, co-workers, classmates and neighbors to make a donation. Or, simply make a donation or send contributions to:

Thank you for your consideration in taking these extra steps to help JDRF continue to deliver innovative discoveries and to accelerate our path to build a world without T1D. If you would like to learn more about the current research landscape and how JDRF is making a definitive difference, please contact the JDRF office at 312-670-0313.
Thank you for your support,
