I hope all of you are doing well! I would like to ask you to take a minute to read my message below:
Another year has passed and again on November 9 my family and Vlada's friends will be taking part in JDRF's Walk to Cure Diabetes, along with a half-million other walkers across the country. A million THANKS to all of you who participated in the past (either through donations, by attending our Concert, or by walking with us).
I would like to invite you to come out to the walk with us on Saturday, November 9, at 8am at Balboa Park. Bring the kids and the whole family – it will be fun!
Also, I would like to invite you to our annual concert, which will take place on Saturday, November 16 at 3pm at Greene Music (7480 Miramar Road San Diego, CA 92126). Admission is free and cash or check donations will be accepted at the door.
You can make a contribution here online by clicking "Donate to this team or team member" button.
If will be able to join us at the walk (November 9), click on the "Join My Team" button to sign up.
Finally, if you will be attending the concert (November 16), please RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org with the number of attendees.
Thank you for your continues support! I look forward to seeing you at one of these events (or both!)

P.S. As always, I want to share with you the flyer that Vlada made 9 years ago when raising funds for the walk! Please take a moment to click on the link to view the image: <img src=https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-bEgWker3_Tg/RvnOn80XP3I/AAAAAAAAOMY/fDh0VjZtjTA/w1290-h835-no/VladasFlyer.jpg>
Below you will find some basic facts about type 1 diabetes:
Type 1 diabetes is a life-threatening autoimmune disease in which a person's pancreas stops producing insulin. It strikes both children and adults suddenly and changes life as they know it forever. It cannot be prevented and there is no cure.
JDRF is the only global organization with a strategic research plan to fight T1D. Every dollar JDRF is able to direct toward research comes from donors like you.
The challenge we've set ourselves - to raise money for JDRF and to walk - is modest compared to the daily challenges of life with T1D, which involves a 24/7, unrelenting cycle of blood sugar testing and insulin injections to manage the disease.
We're taking steps to help JDRF progressively remove the impact of type 1 diabetes (T1D) from people's lives until no one has to fear developing this disease. By joining our Walk to Cure Diabetes team and making a donation to JDRF, you'll raise money to help fund critical T1D research and create a world without T1D.
Thank you for your support, and we'll see you on Walk day!
