Welcome to Team Ally's JDRF Cure to Walk Diabetes Fundraising Page!
Family and Friends of Ally Lanza are participating in the JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes at the Milwaukee Zoo on September 14th, 2013. For those of you who don't know her, Ally was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) three years ago at the age of 10. We would love to help find a cure for this life-threatening autoimmune disease. It is a disease in which a person's pancreas stops producing insulin. T1D cannot be prevented and there is no cure (yet)!
The challenge we've set ourselves - to raise money for JDRF and to walk - is modest compared to the daily challenges of Ally's life with T1D, which involves a 24/7, unrelenting cycle of blood sugar testing and insulin injections to manage the disease.
Will you accept the challenge to make a difference by walking with us? Just click on the "Join this Team" button, make a donation, and start fundraising.
Thank you for your support, and we'll see you on Walk day!
