Welcome to Keaton's Glucose Patrol Team Page for the JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes!
When Keaton was diagnosed at 6 years old as a diabetic, his life changed dramatically by needing 8-10 blood glucose tests and 4-5 shots daily.
Through the last year and a half, we have learned that many youth are afflicted by this condition and face the same challenges. These are challenges no kid should have to face. The Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation is the leading institution searching for a cure.
We are taking the steps to help achieve JDRF's mission: to find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research. The money our JDRF Walk Team raises will go directly to support this life-changing research.
The JDRF Walk is a fantastic way to make a difference in the millions of lives of people affected by type 1 diabetes. We are asking for your support. Now more than ever, EACH of us can make a real difference in the lives of people with type 1 diabetes. Last year in Minneapolis over 23,000 people participated and raised over 2.1 million. Let's do even better this year!
Just click on the "Join this Team" button, make a donation and begin fundraising. It's simple, fast and fun!
To see how Keaton has kept inspired and refused to let his condition take being a kid away from him, please view his video at this link.
Thank you for your support and we hope you will consider joining Keaton's Glucose Patrol at the Mall of America!
