Welcome to our JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes Team Page!

We appreciate any support you can give; be it joining our team to fundraise and walk with us on April 12th, or by donating.

This is our second year walking, we are still getting the hang of it, but we have some fun fundraising and team events planned. For now, I am just focused on us raising as much as we can and enjoying the experience of being a part of the walk on the 12th.

We are walking on behalf of Xoe Brown and her father, Brandon. Both have Type 1 diabetes. Brandon was diagnosed at age 19 and Xoe was diagnosed the night before she turned 7. They each take four or more shots every day and have to prick their fingers to test their levels many times throughout the day. This is a scary, tiring, painful, expensive, draining, and frustrating disease that is part of every hour of every day of their lives. We look so forward to a cure, but also welcome the advancements being made in treatment and care. I am glad to share with you that 90% of the funds raised for the walk go straight to research.

Will you accept the challenge to make a difference by walking with us? All we need you to do is click on the "Join this Team" button, make a donation, and begin fundraising. It’s simple, fast, and fun!

Thank you for your support, and we hope to see you on Walk day!
