Type 1 Diabetes is so much harder to live with than a million mile ride. I want to ride for a cure as long as I can. Short but not good, my son, Phil has had Type 1 Diabetes since seven (7) months of age (35 years). Type 1 diabetes requires 24X7 care by the person with or parents and can be lethal and fast. It is a life of fear. I have never had a conversation with my first born son without this incurable disease, Type 1 Diabetes, overshadowing our lives together, always lurking in background.
Please help me make my gigantic goal of $10,000. It costs anyone with Type 1 diabetes at least that much money each year to stay alive. I am training almost everyday on my bike which is not even close to the difficulty of living with Type 1 Diabetes (for millions and millions of people).
Much Love and Thanks! Joanna
