You are receiving this because you have graciously supported Bella's Battalion and JDRF in the past. And for that, we thank you.
November 20th, 2016 marked the beginning of Bella's 8th year living with Type 1 Diabetes (T1D). At the young, but wise age of 14, Bella is faced with new and different challenges the T1D presents. I am thankful to God for her perseverance, her resilience and her optimism. Some days, I don't know how she does it. But on no day, does she have a choice.
WALK TIME HAS BECOME BITTERSWEET FOR US:
BITTER because we can't take it away from her, we can't give her permission to take the day off and not worry about it. We see the lives that it claims with more and more frequency. We've comforted too many families as they joined a club they never signed up for. Eight years is a long time.....but it's been many more for others.
SWEET because Bella is soooo much bigger than this disease. She is bright eyed and energetic, smart and athletic. She feels intensely and deeply, loves life around her. She has a great laugh. She is sunshine to others. Bella has picked up her cross of T1D and is carrying it. She has hope that sees a future without it.
For our 8th year, we will gather for ONE WALK at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore on Sunday, May 14, 2017 at 8 a.m.Please join our team. With your participation and generous donation, we can hit well over $250,000 fundraising milestone this year!
I am proud to announce that, after chairing this event, Mark continues to be active on the MD One Walk Committee again this year. We are amazed by his tireless efforts and commitment. We are in this until T1D is no more.
Is it making a difference you ask? Bella believes it is. We believe it is. Please watch this short video and decide for yourself.
With your support Type 1 can become Type NONE!
Here's to another year of promise, perseverance and hope. GO BELLA!
Your donation will count towards the team's fundraising total. In addition, please give credit to the person that asked for your support to recognize them for their efforts in creating a world without type 1 diabetes (T1D).
