I’m going on a three-month journey by car around the United States to visit the beautiful National Parks that define the American spirit while also raising money to help cure Type 1 diabetes once and for all.
I was diagnosed with T1D as a kid in 1982, but as I grew up I realized that I love traveling. Diabetes complicates travel; T1Ds can go anywhere but every meal and every situation can wreak havoc on blood sugar control.
You can help find a cure for T1D by donating to the JDRF in support of this epic road trip. If your life has been affected by diabetes, if you are a traveler yourself, or if you just love the awesome idea of spending a few months driving around dozens of stunning National Parks, please contribute today to help us find the cure.
(Note that your donation will go straight to JDRF, not to the trip itself.)
The National Parks T1D Road Trip’s home is at http://www.70-130.com.
Thanks for supporting a cure for T1D. See you on the road!
