Benefiting the Georgia Chapter of JDRF, Rock the Cure is an annual Brews and Blues event featuring the best Georgia has to offer in live music, local brews, great food and exciting raffle prizes. Each year Rock the Cure is held at SweetWater Brewery in Atlanta. Since its inception in 2007, Rock the Cure has raised more than $700,000 for T1D research. Last year we hosted our special 10 Year Anniversary raising a record breaking $111,000 with over 750 people in attendance. This year we are hoping to raise over $120,000 for type 1 diabetes research.

We are also thrilled to announce our 2017 Spears Mallis Rock Star of Hope recipient is Shannon Bradshaw! Shannon has personally been involved with Rock the Cure since 2008 and her company has been the presenting sponsor of the event since 2009. Head to to learn more about her story.

Our team is helping create a world without type 1 diabetes (T1D) for the millions of children and adults living with this disease.

Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disease that strikes children and adults—and has nothing to do with diet or lifestyle. With T1D, a person’s pancreas stops producing insulin—a hormone essential to turning food into energy. The daily life of someone with T1D brings a multitude of challenges, including insulin injections  that need to be carefully balanced with eating and activity, disruptive glucose monitoring, sleepless nights—and  wishing for a tomorrow where this struggle doesn’t exist.
Living with T1D means there are no days off and there is no cure. But there is hope.

By donating or joining our team today, you’ll help JDRF fund life-changing breakthroughs to make living with T1D safer and healthier, until there is a cure.

We can’t do it without you!
