CGHS Spiking Type One into Type None.
Cedar Grove High School's Sport Management class will be hosting the 4th annual Orange Invitational Volleyball tournament on March 26, 2020 at 7pm in the CGHS Gymnasium. 100% of all monies raised will be donated to the JDRF in an effort to help create a world without type 1 diabetes (T1D) for the millions of children and adults living with this disease.
Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disease that strikes children and adults—and has nothing to do with diet or lifestyle. With T1D, a person’s pancreas stops producing insulin—a hormone essential to turning food into energy. The daily life of someone with T1D brings a multitude of challenges, including insulin injections that need to be carefully balanced with eating and activity, disruptive glucose monitoring, sleepless nights—and wishing for a tomorrow where this struggle doesn’t exist.
Living with T1D means there are no days off and there is no cure. But there is hope.
By donating or joining our team today, you’ll help JDRF fund life-changing breakthroughs to make living with T1D safer and healthier, until there is a cure.
