COVID-19 has endangered the most important tool we have in the fight against type 1 diabetes (T1D): Research. With in-person JDRF community events called off or postponed nationwide, we're facing immediate funding gaps that put our pipeline at risk.
Your donation of $25 or more will help keep our research fully funded and will power progress toward a world free of T1D. As a token of appreciation, you will receive a branded, high-quality spandex and polyester, washable mask you can wear for social distancing and can remember how your support is truly helping us be stronger together! (Masks will be mailed mid-May)
You can also choose to donate the mask to an essential healthcare worker or a person with diabetes. Please note if you'd prefer your mask be donated in the comment field when completing your donation.
With T1D, a person’s pancreas stops producing insulin—a hormone essential to turning food into energy. The daily life of someone with T1D brings a multitude of challenges, including insulin injections that need to be carefully balanced with eating and activity, disruptive glucose monitoring, sleepless nights—and wishing for a tomorrow where this struggle doesn’t exist.
Living with T1D means there are no days off and there is no cure. But there is hope.
Your generosity will help JDRF fund life-changing breakthroughs to remove the incredible daily burden of this disease—until it no longer exists.
On behalf of JDRF North Florida, thank you so very much for your support in helping to make type one type none!
