11th Annual Vegas Gives: Honoring Alissa Kelly benefiting JDRF
Every November, VEGAS Magazine and Wynn Las Vegas honor eight women in the community who are striving to build a more charitable Las Vegas. Honorees select a charity of choice for which they will represent and raise event proceeds through event ticket sales and a silent auction.
A $50 donation includes your entry into the event where you will be able to bid on silent auction items valued at $500 or more. If you are unable to attend the event, donations can be made in any amount by clicking the donate button above. 100 percent of event proceeds benefit the honorees chosen charity.
Alissa Kelly is one of the 2019 honorees and has selected JDRF in honor of her father and nephew who live with type 1 diabetes.
We are helping create a world without type 1 diabetes (T1D) for the millions of children and adults living with this disease.
Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disease that strikes children and adults—and has nothing to do with diet or lifestyle. With T1D, a person's pancreas stops producing insulin —a hormone essential to turning food into energy. The daily life of someone with T1D brings a multitude of challenges, including insulin injections that need to be carefully balanced with eating and activity, disruptive glucose monitoring, sleepless nights—and wishing for a tomorrow where this struggle doesn't exist.
Living with T1D means there are no days off and there is no cure. But there is hope.
By donating or joining today, you'll help JDRF fund life-changing breakthroughs to make living with T1D safe and healthier, until there is a cure.
We can't do it without you!
