Autumn is the time of year when we, as a studio and performing family, begin to fundraise and prepare for the JDRF 1 Walk, to support and honor those living with Type 1 diabetes (TD1), especially those who we know and love.
We have loved supporting this worthy cause the last few years and will miss being together with everyone. Let’s embrace the opportunity to still contribute, even if in some small way, as we look forward to next year, when we may be able to gather and walk again as a team.
The power of us
Our GPA team is walking to end type 1 diabetes (T1D).
When you have T1D, your body stops producing insulin—a hormone essential to turning food into energy. Managing the disease is a constant struggle that involves monitoring your blood-sugar level, administering insulin, and carefully balancing these insulin doses with your eating and activity just to stay alive.
There is no way to prevent T1D and there is no cure–yet. But JDRF is working hard to change that. And that’s why our team is supporting the JDRF One Walk this year.
Scientific advances are being turned into therapies that are changing the course of T1D - now. And together, we have the power to drive these therapies to market as quickly as we can.
Your fundraising or donation not only changes lives for people with T1D but will change your own life too. The inspiration from this community will stick with you, and the pride you can take for your role will last a lifetime.
Thank you for your support.
