DELL EMPLOYEES: there will be a link to donate for the corp match - it's the only way to get Dell to double your donation
Friends, Family, Loved Ones,
It's that time of year when we focus our efforts on fundraising for a cure for Type-1 Diabetes. Duncan turned 12 this year & is in 7th grade. He's better at managing his diabetic needs, which is great since he's at school most of the time (& thanks to our amazing public school nurses).
On the diabetes front, it's mostly been a non-eventful year outside of us having to get up multiple nights each week to address a high or low blood sugar. We are so grateful for the technology we leverage to keep him safe. We'll trade those sleep interruptions to know that his long-term health will benefit from these systems. Plus, that's why they make coffee, right???
The dollars we raise help fund further research for the cure(s) that will one day eradicate this burden. We say cures (plural) now because the prevailing thought is there are multiple triggers/causes & that will likely require multiple answers to solve. This is why your generous dollars are so necessary right now.
We're asking you to please consider a donation again for our cause. Duncan & more than 1 Million Americans need this critical research to continue to save lives, reduce the impact, & ultimately cure this thing!
As a way of thanks, Duncan asked if he could keep drawing pictures for anyone who donates $125 or more, so that's what we're gonna do. If you got one last time, you'll know that each one is unique & he loves creating them. Please know, however, that even a $5 donation makes a difference. Any dollar donated is one dollar closer to a cure!
Duncan, Lila, Jen, & Charlie
What is Type-1 Diabetes?
T1D is an autoimmune disease in which a person’s pancreas stops producing insulin—a hormone essential to turning food into energy. It strikes both children and adults and is unrelated to diet and lifestyle. With T1D there are no days off, and there is no cure—yet. Your support can help change this.
