42nd Annual Beat the Bridge to Beat Diabetes

Now is the time to make T1D history

I'm participating in the Beat the Bridge to Beat Diabetes to raise money to transform the lives of the millions of people living with type 1 diabetes (T1D).

When you have T1D, your body stops producing insulin—a hormone essential to turning food into energy. Even with the most vigilant disease management, a significant portion of your day will be spent with high or low blood-sugar levels, which can lead to unpleasant short-term side effects and even long-term complications like kidney failure, heart attack and blindness.

There is no way to prevent T1D and there is no cure – yet. But JDRF is working hard to change that.

Scientific advances are being turned into therapies that are changing the course of T1D - now. And together, we have the power to drive these therapies to market as quickly as we can.

By donating, you can support life-changing research that helps people with T1D live healthier and longer, until a cure is found.

Your support makes it all possible.

My Miles Towards Mission

In support of the 1.45 million Americans living with T1D, I'm walking towards a world without T1D.
