Tough Tyler's Team for JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes
As most of you know, I have been battling T1D for 9 years. This will be Team Tough Tyler's 10th year. Fortunately, we have seen great strides since my diagnosis because of YOU!! Thank you for helping launch the artificial pancreas, a couple different continuous glucose monitors and most of all fund the development of smaller needles to help the over 30,000 finger pricks I have had since my diagnosis. This year, I actually even changed my pump from wired to wireless. I enjoy not having all the wires hangout of my shorts!!
On September 29, 2019 I'll be walking again in JDRF One Walk® to continue to make life easier for everyone who has type 1 diabetes (T1D)—including other kids like me. With T1D, I have to test my blood sugar several times a day, worry about keep a balance in blood sugars so I do not go to high or dropping dangerously low because I can possibly pass out or even worse. T1D is a 24/7 disease and I never get a break..
That’s why JDRF One Walk is so great. People who care about how tough T1D can be get together to have fun and raise money for research that will help make it easier to take care of my T1D.
Will you help make a cure a reality by making a gift today or joining my team to walk at the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds on September 29th? Please visit my page.
