Hello Beautiful Friends and Family,
Please walk and help us raise money to create a world without Type 1 Diabetes for kids. Join us "Team Julianne" on Sunday, October 20th at 8:00 AM for the JDRF One Walk at the Pasadena Rose Bowl.
I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes when I was in 2nd grade and was hospitalized. It's an autoimmune disease that strikes children and adults suddenly.
My life as a kid changed a lot because I had to learn to be brave everyday. I had to get many shots and poke my fingers with needles to test my blood sugar. My pancreas stopped working and this affected my learning at school, the things I could eat and do, and it was very hard.
My parents, Mrs. Shankwieler, Mrs. Chesshire, teachers and my big sister Katelin, have to keep a close eye on me when I'm learning, playing with friends or just having fun to make sure I am safe.
With the help of many special people in my life, my doctors, JDRF, HPA Family, Troop 201 Girl Scout Sisters, Camp Conrad Chinnock, friends and family I have been able to live with Diabetes in a different way. It is important to find a cure so that children like myself can live a life without diabetes.
That's why were walking and we need you on our Team!! Please click "Visit my Team Page" sign up for "Team Julianne" and join us.
Thank you for your generous donation that will make a difference in the lives of kids living with diabetes.
