JDRF Ride to Cure Diabetes is a charitable bike ride that to-date has raised over $55 million for type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. The Ride gives cyclists of all ages and skill levels the opportunity to support breakthroughs that transform the lives of people with T1D, until there is a cure.
JDRF Ride isn't just a bike ride: it's an experience where thousands of riders come together from all over the world to make new friendships, enjoy the unparalleled camaraderie of the Ride community and raise money to help end T1D.
Everyone has a reason to ride. What's yours?
Type 1 diabetes (T1D) is a serious and stressful disease in which a person's pancreas stops producing insulin, a hormone the body needs to get energy from food. T1D strikes children and adults suddenly — and managing it is a constant balancing act. There is currently nothing you can do to prevent it, and there is no cure.
JDRF is the leading global organization funding T1D research. We want a cure and we won't stop until we make one a reality. Along the way, we will continue to support advances that make it safer and easier to live with this disease. By taking part in JDRF Ride to Cure Diabetes, you'll help us get there faster.
